Redesigning, Rearranging,Recyling
I have been very busy. After I came back from the beautiful Pacific Rim I focused on repainting the studio. It was something that I wanted to get to for some time now but never wanted to ' tie up ' the studio with paint cans, brushes, rollers and tarps, it was now or never. It is now bright, cheery and organised the way that works for me.
I am so happy to spend time there creating my new recycled pieces.
I popped into a few thrift shops on my vacation and loaded up my knapsack with lots of goodies. My wonderful parents have been scouring the garage sales in their neck of the woods to find silver treasures for me ( thanks mom and dad xoxo).

New recycled/upcycled earrings
I recycled these earrings from a silver plated piece of dinner ware. I sawed out the design I wanted, soldered to a copper ring which I formed, soldered and hammered. Then I oxidized the entire piece which turned the copper ring black and left the silver plate antiqued. Handcrafted sterling silver ear wire and Voila. A pair that I decided to keep.
